Special chair donation for disabled children


Special chair donation for children with cerebral palsy of Sincere Concern --2007-2008 Shenzhen Program for Helping the Disabled officially started October 25, 2007. Funded by Shenzhen civil affairs bureau welfare lottery, 150 cerebral palsy children aged 2-16 will receive special chairs in total. At the ceremony, 28 orphans with cerebral palsy as beneficiaries received the first batch of special chairs.

SZDPF vice president Zhu Shaoming said at the ceremony that the special chair donation as the people's livelihood is an important measure to build a harmonious society. Relevant unit should try all out to lead the task go smoothly. With the people-centered of scientific concept and the orient of actual needs, every unit should provide services of pertinence, practicality and feasibility to the disabled.

The special chair is an assistive device to the children with cerebral palsy for their sitting alone. With the special chair, the children can sit alone to watch TV, go out with families etc. It will bring a new life to the children as it is the basis for their rehabilitation.

Leading members from relevant units attended and gave speeches at the ceremony.
