At the opening ceremony, SZDPF President Gao has had a mobilization speech. She said member for disabled persons is a bridge between the disabled persons’ Federation and general disabled persons, a link between the disabled themselves, as well as a hub between the disable and the society. Community disabled association with full time members is a working team, closing and serving the disabled. It’s important to lead the team be professional. It’s important to extend social working team. It’s important to create conditions for all grass-roots workers to master the basic theory, working methods, policies and regulations and so lead them to be qualified workers for the disabled.
President Gao stressed: to achieve the goal “Every one enjoys rehabilitation” in 2008 is the working focus of this year. Every district will focus on this goal through the creation of National or provincial community rehabilitation demonstration district. This training course with theme of “every one enjoys rehabilitation” is to improve the grassroots workers to perform their duties as “rehabilitation coordinator”.
SZDPF plans to have two courses for SZDPF grass-roots workers this year. And this one includes rehabilitation basic knowledge, “Every one enjoys rehabilitation” index system, rehabilitation coordinator course and “ interaction between society and the disabled”. Starting from the theory, focusing on the practical operation, this is not only a “rehabilitation coordinator” training course, but also a “coordination, management” quality education for the working team. It is a welcome course. Through the training the trainees have not only learned the theoretical knowledge but also to strengthen exchanges between the various districts, which is helpful to the work for the disabled.
